23 Lakh e-Khata Issued in GBA Area; ‘Namma e-Khata’ Open House Drive from May 16

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced that over 23 lakh e-Khata records have been issued within the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) limits. A weekly ‘Namma e-Khata’ open house campaign will begin from May 16 to facilitate property documentation and grievance resolution.

Key Details:

• Over 23 lakh e-Khata records issued in the past 10 months under GBA

• ‘Namma e-Khata’ campaign to start from May 16, to be held every Saturday

• 50 open house counters to be set up across five corporations

• Camps will be conducted in schools to manage crowd flow

• Approximately 5,000 grievances to be addressed every week

• Applications with valid documents will be processed on the spot

• Disputed cases will be resolved within 15 days after field verification

• Around 10 lakh digital Khata copies have already been shared via WhatsApp

• Physical copies will be delivered to households

• 7,000 B Khata to A Khata applications are under processing

• An estimated ₹300 crore revenue is expected from conversions

• Measures have been introduced to reduce corruption and manual intervention

• Dedicated officers (from Revenue Officer to Joint Secretary level) have been assigned accountability

• The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister D.K. Shivakumar during a press conference held at Vidhana Soudha on Friday
