The Government of Karnataka has notified the number of elected member seats for Gram Panchayats in Bengaluru Urban District, based on the 2011 Census and the recommendations of the Karnataka Panchayat Raj Delimitation Commission.

As per the notification, Bengaluru Urban District will have 85 Gram Panchayats with a total of 2,047 elected member seats.
Taluk-wise breakup:
Yelahanka – 18 GPs, 377 seats
Bengaluru North – 11 GPs, 233 seats
Bengaluru South – 17 GPs, 414 seats
Bengaluru East – 11 GPs, 262 seats
Anekal – 28 GPs, 761 seats
